Celebrated chanteuse and actress Fiona-Jane Weston takes time out during the break from her monthly interview shows at the Battersea Barge to perform a solo show with unexpected Christmas fare, both historical and contemporary. Sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, always festive.
A warm and sparkling celebration for the festive season featuring unusual, evocative and often hilarious Christmas songs, recitations from well-loved literary classics and even a little poetry. There’s also a look back to how Christmas has been celebrated (or not..) over the centuries, including when certain Christmas observances were under threat – striking a chord with our own commercial and somewhat nervous times perhaps!
Edgy cabaret performer Paul L Martin and satirical duo Bounder and Cad join Fiona-Jane aboard the Battersea Barge to add their own frisson to this eclectic concoction and make this the perfect way to get you into that Christmas mood.
Fiona-Jane Weston is an actress, singer and cabaret artist whose shows have played to packed houses at The Other Palace), The Pheasantry, Crazy Coqs (Brasserie Zédel) as well as on national and overseas tours. She has received rave reviews for her one woman shows Wartime Women and Looking For Lansbury.
