| Thu 15th |  Katy Christie is singer of great versatility. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music as a French horn player and has recently embarked on a singing venture. In 2008, she made her first recording which was for full symphony orchestra and herself. She worked alongside fantastic new talent Andrew Brinsford who arranged six songs for her and the orchestra ranging from power ballads to original material written by Katy. Katy has always had a great passion for singing and song writing and is now able to express this through her new group which consists of an acoustic string quartet and rhythm section. The group performs original songs and songs associated with Tom Waits, Ute Lemper, Ella Fitzgerald and more, in a variety of different styles ranging from Jazz to Cabaret to folk. All songs are arranged by Andrew Brinsford who has recently been approached by film composer John Barry. " Original approach...... highly professional" Roy Car - NME | |||
