A converted 1930’s Dutch Barge, the Battersea Barge has undergone a major refurbishment offering lots of light, steel, glass and personality. Nestled amongst its neighbouring modern developments and a quirky riverboat community with the back drop of Battersea Power Station, the Barge shines centre stage. As an award-winning venue it is the perfect setting for your special event.
The Battersea Barge is located in the heart of Nine Elms, near Vauxhall stations, with its great transport links. Click here for the layout and dimensions of the upper and lower decks of the boat.
The most popular space to hire is the lower deck. This includes exclusive use of the stage area and audience space, and shared use of the bar. If you intend to host a performance, we have a dressing room and AV for hire. The lower deck is suitable for groups of over 40 people, but can comfortably seat 80 or 100 standing.
The whole boat’s capacity is 150, but also has areas for exclusive hire for groups of over 40 people. See further info for these different options.
Tables on the upper deck may also be reserved for small groups.
These different options are available to hire from 10:00am up to 11:30pm, with last orders at 11:00pm from Sunday to Thursday (departure by 11:30pm) and an extra hour on Friday and Saturday.
The hire charge consists of a non-refundable reservation fee and a refundable deposit or ticket allocation, held against a minimum spend or ticket sales. You keep 100% of ticket sales.
